Mount Lesung - Canoe Lake Temblingan

42.jpg

Mount Lesung is one of the most sacred mountains in Bali, rising above the beautiful Tamblingan and Buyan lakes. This trek takes you deep into the untouched rainforest of the northern highlands.

The adventure begins on the western side of Lake Tamblingan, where the trail enters dense tropical forest filled with ancient trees and rich vegetation. Early in the hike, you will stop near the sacred Naga Loka cave, which can only be seen from a distance. Your guide will make a short stop here to pay respect at the nearby forest temple.

The ascent continues through lush jungle for around three hours until reaching the summit of Mount Lesung (1,865 meters above sea level). If the weather allows, you will enjoy stunning views over Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan.

The descent takes about two hours via a different route leading back to Lake Tamblingan. The experience ends with a peaceful 30-minute traditional canoe crossing on the lake.
